More than a traditional smith machine, the Series 7 Smith Machine is a home gym workout solution. This commercial rated piece of fitness equipment includes a premium smith machine, squat rack, pull-up bar, safeties, and weight horns. This is an all-in-one solution for a commercial gym, personal training studio, or garage gym.

Smooth Smith Gym Gliding System

The Series 7 Smith Gym features linear bearings as a part of the commercial rated smith system, allowing for a smooth glide throughout the entire movement. The gliding mechanism gives the feeling of a free weight exercise without the required stability.

Body Solid made this smith machine gym system with the user in mind. It comes with a 7 degree reversed pitch allowing for a more natural feel when performing lower body and upper body exercises.

Free Weight Squat Rack

Unlike most home gym smith machines or even commercial smith machines, the GS348Q Series 7 Smith Machines come with a full commercial half rack. This rack is extremely stable and ready for heavy bench press, squat, or other free weight exercises.

The squat rack features a gun rack style racking system that is set with a 7 degree reversed pitch, helping the weight to stay in the racked position.

Safeties and Lock Out Positions

The Body Solid Series 7 Smith Machine offers 20 crossmember lift offs, allowing you to find the perfect starting and stopping point for your exercise. Quickly isolate your muscle with the convenient lift off points that prevent you from having to reach or exert effort getting into the exercise movement.

Set the heavy duty safeties on the series 7 to 14 evenly spaced positions for optimal safety when performing intense chest and leg exercises. The safeties are 17 inches, making them much long enough to protect you during the bench press and squatting movements.

Full Olympic Weight Rack

The Series 7 Smith Machine comes with six weight horns, giving you all that you need for olympic plate storage. Adding weight to the Body Solid Smith Machine will even further stabilize the system.

Optional Selectorized Lat Attachment

Add a lat pulldown machine to get even more exercises to this all in one solution. This option allows you to perform triceps pressdowns, ab crunches, face pulls, and more.

Optional Pull-up Bar Attachment

This Body Solid Smith Machine also gives you a strong chinning bar for a variety of bodyweight exercises. It can also be used as an attachment point for a detachable cable pulley, suspension straps, dip rings, and another of other possibilities.

What is included in the series 7 smith machine package?

This Body Solid Smith Machine package comes with a complete smith machine, six weight horns, premium free weight safeties, and a barbell holder. You can purchase additional options such as a pull-up bar, lat pulldown attachment, and pec dec station.

Note: You cannot install both the pull up bar and the lat attachment. If you decide to go with the pull up bar, we suggest you purchase a quick setup lat pulley such as the one offered by Spud Inc. Straps.

What is the weight capacity for this smith machine?

The Series 7 Smith Machine has a weight capacity of 600 pounds and the free weight rack / safeties have a 1000 pound rating.

What types of weights can I use?

This commercial smith machine requires that you use olympic weights. If you need a smith machine for standard weights, then we would suggest a Powerline Smith Machine.

Is this smith machine counter balanced?

No, the GS348QP4 Smith Machine does not have a counterbalance. This means you will need to balance the weight but to a lesser degree than a free weight exercise. If you need a counter balance on your smith machine then the SCB1000 Pro Clubline Power Rack is the right option for you.

Does the bar stick at all on this smith machine?

Except in the case of a rare manufacturer defect, you will not experience any stickiness if you have correctly installed the Body Solid Series 7 Smith Machine. If you are experiencing this issue, then you will want to call Body Solid and have them diagnose the issue.
