TORAY T700 Raw Carbon Fiber Textured Surface

The UltraSpin T1 features a surface made of TORAY T700 Carbon Fiber, which is renowned for providing maximum grit, spin, and power. This particular grade of carbon fiber is recognized as the highest quality, offering exceptional strength and durability. In contrast to most carbon fiber paddles on the market that use a lower grade, the UltraSpin T1 stands out.

Our T700 Raw Carbon Fiber weave is crafted with a distinctive textured fine frosted finish, designed to be long-lasting and to safeguard the grit from wear over time. This means that, unlike other T700 raw carbon fiber paddles, the texture on the UltraSpin T1 will not wear out quickly, and it seldom requires cleaning with an eraser or cleaner.

Thermoformed High-Performance Paddle  

The UltraSpin T1 is a high-performance thermoformed paddle, featuring extreme heat pressing and foam injection around the edges for enhanced comfort. Its construction surpasses traditional cold-pressed paddles by reducing vibration and increasing power in pickleball shots. Additionally, the UltraSpin T1 boasts a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPE) edge guard, offering superior protection against ground scrapes.

An Optimal Balance of Control and Power

The UltraSpin T1's construction features a 16mm thick polypropylene honeycomb core paired with Toray T700 Carbon Fiber, providing exceptional control for precise drops and resets, while still delivering the necessary power for aggressive strokes.

Unibody Design with Thermoformed Foam Grip Handle

Our grip handle features a unibody design with heat-pressed carbon fiber extending from the top of the paddle to the end of the handle, enhancing the paddle's strength and durability over those with handles attached to separate paddle faces.

The thermoformed foam grip enhances comfort and minimizes vibration. Additionally, the elongated, ergonomically shaped grip accommodates varied grip pressures and is advantageous for players who use a double backhand.

UltraSpin T1 Designer - Edgar’s Comments

With my experience of playing with many different paddles as an intermediate player and eventually advancing to 4.5+, I wanted to design a high-performance paddle that would help players advance their game, but still be that go-to paddle as their game progressed.

I drew my inspiration from the popularity of hybrid shaped paddles, Toray T700 raw carbon fiber surfaces, long grip handles and the result was the UtraSpin T1 – 16mm.

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the result and enjoy using this paddle in games where I value a little more power over control. (Sometimes if I’m playing with a Frankin X-40 in high heat, where the ball pace is a bit soft and slow, I take out the UltraSpin T1)

Compared to my first paddle, the UtraSpin E1 – 16mm, the UltraSpin T1 has more power but less control. It’s not as forgiving on mis-hits. Doesn’t feel as light as the edgless UltraSpin E1, but it does have an edge guard that offers more protection from ground scrapes.  

The UltraSpin T1 has got pop but not too poppy that I could still handle resets effectively and dink and drop where I wanted to with the right amount of pace.

Nice balance of swing and twist weight. Swing and twist rotation felt natural on my forehand topspins and backhand underspins. And I didn’t need to use weights as I did with the UltraSpin E1. 

Compared to other “power” paddles I’ve played with the UltraSpin T1 feels powerful without sacrificing control so I still feel consistent with my shots. And compared to other Toray T700 raw carbon fiber paddles, the surface grit lasts much longer, stays intact and rarely needs to be cleaned.
